Here are some photos of the ornaments and candlesticks from the last post after the glaze firing.

  1. Wow Amy, they all came out great - I just love your candlesticks and ornaments. Such beautiful shapes and textures and glazes. I was wondering if the nichrome wire would hold the ornaments up in the firing - I guess it is stronger than it looks - what gauge did you use?

  2. Looking good! My fav is candle holder on the far left with the scalloped pattern at the bottom. Nice!

  3. I am not sure what gauge the wire is. I have had them so long I wouldn't know where to find the paperwork. I'm guessing it is close to 1/8" thick if that helps. Some of the wires have bent during the firing, but none ever enough to do any damage to a piece. I only hung one ornament per wire because they are fairly large. When I make beads I load them up.
