A work in progress...

As I said in my last post, I have had a hard time getting going in the studio lately. I have been working, but wasn't really happy with what I was producing. In all honesty, I felt like I was just going through the motions. I'm not really sure about how I feel about that last statement. It's depressing, but honest.

However, last sunday I finished up a series of small pitchers and one small teapot that made me smile. Somehow it seems a turning point (if not a breakthrough). With May and June deadlines looming, it's time to get to work.

Here’s my latest greenware. My pieces and me...always a work in progress!

I was going to come over here and comment even if you didn't have a post and then I saw your beautiful new work. Not sure how you wouldn't have been satisfied with your previous work which is wonderful, but I understand everyone gets into a slump. I love, love, love your new work, can't wait to see how you glaze them.

Thank you all for the nice comments, with a special shout out to Linda! Your comment on the previous post kicked me into gear as far as this blog goes. Sometimes I forget that anyone cares. Thank you for reading, commenting and cheering me on (especially when I need it!) New finished work should be up by the end of May. Maybe even a new glaze or two. How's that for a tease?

Amy,

The pitchers are all cool, my fav is the last one , but the one i have is a lot like that one, so my next fav would be the first one. So how are you going to glaze that??? And the teapot is the bomb!!
